I was just wondering if chickens would be in danger if they came across a ground nest of yellowjackets. We didn't have any last year in the backyard where the chickens roamed but we have in the past.
Is it possible that their presence in the yard would deter any from wanting to move in?
I live in fear of these little winged demons, (the yellowjackets, not the chickens,) after a nasty introduction to them.

I doubt you will see many if your chickens are free range. Mine chase and eat everyone they find. I watched them at it. They snap them into with their beaks and then peck them to death and eat them. Good protein. Jean
