Yesterday a friend of my husband came out and spent the afternoon at our house visiting with us. He does backhoe work for a living. Well the last to years we had given him several cords of fire wood that he took to a elderly family member. Well because of this he has decided to come and do a bunch of backhoe work for us. This really needed to be done. We live on a hill and so we needed a bunch of dirt leveled of to expand both the front and back yard , garden area, and where we are putting in the new coop. HE said he could be pout this week to get it done for us!!!! Now I might be able to start doing all the things that I have been needing to do, and wanting to get done.In the near future I will be posting pics showing all of the changes of every thing. I cant wait!!!!

Congrats! It's always nice to get things done around the house especially when they are huge projects like that. Looking forward to the posts.

I am so happy for you, sometimes when we give, not expecting something in return, we get a big bonus!

Well my DH friend has spent the last three days out here at my house. MAN I NEVER RELIZED HOW BIG OUR PROPERTY WAS!!!!! every thing was not even close to being level, and he moved tons of dirt. What used to be a three foot path around the side of my house I can now drive our SUV through and still have room. And our back yard wow, i thought I had a pretty good sized back yard, but now It looks like a little patch of grass. Our chicken coop cant be built 3x bigger now. I am going to have to go a take some pictures and show you guys all the work that was done. We figure we upped the property value by 10 or 15 thousand. We actually can do some with the property now. Before we were cramped and every thing was either running up hill or down. Now I have to do some serious land scaping!!! I gave this guy my 98 ford escort. We quite driving it when I had my third son, we out grew it. He wanted to pay us for it and I told him that he earned the car, and probably all the fire wood he wanted for ever. Its awesome I am going out now to take some pics!

This is a picture showing the edge of my back yard and how far we have to expand out. We will have room to add more grass and one heck of a garden.
This was a huge hill that ran right up to the grass.

This shows a corner post that would have been the end of the coop, the dirt we took from the backyard was more than enough to fill tis in so now the chicken yard can be made longer. THis all went down hill about two foot past that post.

THis was around the back edge of our house, with the dog run and the hill that was there we had barely enough space to walk through this area, we will be adding grass here as well.

This is our front yard, agian the end of the flowers and grass was another hill. well will be expanding the front yard this way also. He plans on coming back here in a few weeks to work on the back acre of our property. We can then put in a pasture, so I can get some sheep, goats, and a horse or to. We are thinking about putting in a small pond near the chicken coop and getting some ducks. Like I said we have a ton of yard work to do now. I cant wait !!! I am starting at the chicken run, We are getting some mulch and then we are going to be planting trees and grass in it. Just for the chickens!! Eventually we want the whole property to have grass on on it, that way we wont have to deal with all the mudd when it rains and during the winter. I will keep you guys posted and post picks of all the progress we are making

Wowwwww! Nice work but I couldn't keep my eyes off your gorgeous views!!!! I'd give anything to be able to see mountains like that from my yard! Everything looks fantastic! Can't wait to see the results (and I'm sure you can't either)!

I bet you feel sooo good! I love getting something done like that. And it shows that generosity is good for all!
