I have one light brahma that has been laying for two weeks now. The first one was on the floor of the coop, the second one had no shell and was on the ramp coming down from the roost. Since then, she has consistenly laid every single day in the nesting box - WOW. I have another one that just started laying three days ago. The first one was on the ground in the pen and then no egg for a day but today, she laid a beautiful egg in the nest box!!! I have one pullet left that has not started laying yet but she is very close!!! It is just AMAZING how quickly they all figure it out. Mother Nature never stops surprising me! Have a great day all.
