Yet another bumblefoot question.

I have yet another bumblefoot question. I have a mixed flock that is plagues with bumblefoot. I've treated some birds with success; NOT reated some birds and it goes away; and one poor hen gets it all the time. My question for discussion is that although the orpingtons, wyandottes get it all the time, the australorps, dominiques, and mutts have never had it. Are some breeds less susceptible to bumblefoot? I thought it may be a weight issue, but my turkeys have never had it either.
