We're so excited, our chicks arrived yesterday morning! They all seem to be healthy and happy so far, though we're struggling stabilizing the temp for them. My 150 watt bulb isn't heating it up as much as I thought it would, so we're warming the room it's in (basement bathroom) with a space heater in addition. Any other suggestions for the temp? Just now it was down to 88, when I got home from work at 12:30am it was up to 102. That seems to be the range we're fighting with, sigh. Other than that, they're all quite active, eating and drinking well. Yay!!!
We have 3 Easter Egg pullets and 1 cockerel, 4 golden comets, 3 speckled Sussex and 4 silver laced Wyandottes.
