Yogurt or any kind???

Does it matter what kind of yogurt you give chickens or baby chix? If it's plain does it matter if it has been sweetened?

I honestly don't know if (or how) it matters, but plain is what I've seen generally recommended.

about yogurt - is it a bad thing to offer it daily? In other words would it perhaps make them have diarrhea?

I mixed in yogurt, with oats, and it made a perfect combination. Use plain, unsweetened, yogurt. Try to get the most natural one out there, I gave my chicks organic yogurt, organic cottage cheese, organic corn, and everything else organic. I wanted them to be as healthy as possible, and they were!

I wouldn't say yogurt is bad for your chicks, for it need to be in moderation. Not all the time, just little treats.

I would think not sweetened, but I am not any chicken expert yet.
However for my birds that I raise, any sugar is bad for them.
Heck, it is bad for people.
