Gosling hatched yesterday w/ large yolk sac not absorbed. So I speread out a warm wet towel in the incubator and left the gosling in their. Now this morning it was up trying to walk around in the bator, and all dryed off BUT the yolk sac is still protruding. It has shrunk but it is not all the way in yet.... and hasn't made hasn't shrunk any since i checked last night. It is about the size of a pea. Can I just let it dry at this point? Would it just dry up and fall off if left alone? Or is it still critical to keep it wet? The baby seems very active and lively and probably ready to eat. HELP!

I would keep the gosling away from other litle hatchlings, especially chickens, for a couple of days.. they find things like that fun to peck at.. other than that, I would not worry about it.. It will take its own course and "heal" itself..
