How do I get that thing off of the top of my screen? What if I don't want to read the message? Thanks for letting me know, little annoying egghead, but how about there be a "turn this notification off" button?

This might be too time consuming, but I just open them all up and reply later.

But I do like the idea of turning it off until more come

Only options are to "read" or "delete".

You could also make a "need to read" folder and move them into there.

Actually, once I showed someone and said "look at that cute guy"... At first they didn't see the smiley

Hi! If you fill your message box you won't get that 'thing' when someone tries to send a new message. If it is remotely important, they'll email or call.
