Hey everyone, I've got a fairly young hen (2-3 months) acting kind of strange. It seems to have pretty low energy, but doesn't look that sick. She seems to spend a good amount of time sitting down even though she isn't laying, even to the point of sitting while she's eating. The place we got the hens from started us off on Purnia Layena Crumbles, could that be a source? All of our other hens seem to be fine. Any help is appreciated!

Chickens that are not old enough to lay eggs should not eat layer feed, but whouldm get a grower feed. Layer contains way too much calcium in it for pullets, and can lead to gout and kidney problems. She may have something else going on, however, such as a vitamin deficiency, a leg injury, or something else. Can she stand and walk normally at times?
