Young Peacock

I have a young peacock that is about 5 months old. He has been eating crack corn every since I got him. I was just wondering if there is something I should be feeding him...

I feed mine gamebird pellets. You can also give them some cat food and mine like grapes.
Chicken layer pellets are ok too.

He should be on some sort of game bird food if possible. Cracked corn does not have the protein he needs.

This feed plus something like kitten chow added works in a pinch. If he's made it to five months he's probably past needing medicated starter, and can go on the more adult foods. As Glen said, poultry layer feed also works, but is still low in protein and should be supplemented.
