Young rooster’s crow sounds off

I have a young rooster who is almost four months old. In recent weeks he’s been developing his crow.

It used to sound like a kazoo, then seemed to be coming along, but now it sounds troubled.

I massaged his throat today.
He is moving about, behaving, eating, drinking, and pooping properly.

One video is what he sounded like Saturday…pretty good

I think he sounds pretty good for being so young! If he's acting otherwise normal, I wouldn't worry too much.

Every rooster crows differently. He sounds just fine to me, and he looks healthy. Actually, I would love to have a rooster that crows like that-- so quiet! No cause for concern but if you do notice his health declining, post again in the medical/emergencies forum.

He sounds fine! It can take young boys a while to develop and learn their crow. It may sound pretty awkward for a while though!

A quiet rooster is a find! I have a bantam rooster, and his crow is so shrill. It's really awful. If I ever get another rooster, he'll be a big boy with a REAL crow - lol!

Yeah, my big boy has a real crow alright! He's in the house currently (frostbite), but boy, he sure crows big!

Bantams are the worst! But they are cute, so there's that.

Yeah, although he does look kinda scrappy currently (feather picking ladies ).
