Hi All,
I rescued 2 roosters early last year, after they suffered a few dog attacks when roaming the neighborhood. Never did find out where they came from, but what started as 4 wandering neighborhood chickens, quickly dwindled to 2. I’m pretty sure they are father and son, based on the young one’s colorations and the hen that used to wander with them.
Unfortunately, the young on is maturing and starting fights. Teenage hormones
. I’m guessing he is around 1.5 yrs old. I’d really like to see him find a home where he is able “live life” and not just hang out and fight with his dad.
He’s a wonderful rooster, and will take a nut from my hand and let me stroke his beak. He’s also very curious when I’m gardening and digging in the dirt. So much so that he’ll “help me dig”, even though the outcome is not what was intended.
If anyone is able to help him find a home, please let me know.
