Young rooster

I have a rhode island red rooster and and just lately he has become aggressive. Each time he jumped up to get me he ran into my boot. Three times he decided to lay off. I now walk in with a large stick and all I have to do is point it at him. I had my chickens before he came and raised them from chicks. I handle them allot and he does not like that. I guess walking tall with my stick keeps him away, but be aware he is sneaky. Bruce
