Good morning Folks, is Tylan 50 safe for Turkeys? Turkey sounds congested and has rattled breathing. Our young Turkeys are 3 months old. Also, should injection or water soluble be used?

Thanks

Are you seeing any eyelid or facial swelling or bubbles/foam in either eye? How do the turkeys weigh? Tylan 50 dosage is 0.25 ml per pound 3 times a day for 3-5 days, and I would give it orally. Tylan 200 is 4 times stronger, so less volume is given. Dosage is 0.05 ml per pound. The Tylosin soluble powder dosage is 1 tsp per gallon for 3-5 days. Mycoplasma gallisepticum (MG) can be a possibility in turkeys, but ventilation, ammonia odor, and dust can be factors that may cause respiratory issues. Here is some reading:

Eyelids are normal, eyes appear normal. I got this at Tractor Supply, I'll need to see if they have the water soluble type. I haven't weighed my flock yet. I'm currently giving Patience (turkeys name) the VetRx. Thanks for responding.
