I have a Polish hen looks like Phyllis Diller, she is very tame, knows her name, and follows me all over. She is 1 1/2 years old and about a year ago my pet hawk attacked her, she laid on her head 3 days. I thought about putting her out of her misery, but, fed her beaten egg in a syringe for 3 more days, she started eating by her self. She lays 5-6 eggs a week and hatched a chick this spring. She is a trouper we love her more than my other 4 hens. I have a Welsummer and a Bared Rock 18 weeks and 2 Americannas that are 1 1/2 years old. I am new to this so I don't know if I am doing it right. :)
