I have an uncle that works at the Campbell soup plant that is able to get us cases of soups for a low cost. As I sit here slurping on some chicken and stars, I got to thinking. What are some of your favorite soups (store-bough or homemade)?

Our favorite homemade - Very hot chili
Our favorite Campbell soup - Chicken and Dumplings

Hmmm, let's see...

My favorite is probably Chicken and Biscuit, followed closely by Sopa de Tortilla.

After that, probably Chili and then the Clam Chowders- Boston and Manhattan. Along the same lines, I also like Cioppino. I also really love Avgolemono, which is a Greek lemon chicken soup thickened with eggs and Mulligatawny, which is an African curry chicken soup usually made also with potatos or apple slices. I also used to work in a soup restaurant (hence all these exotic soups, LOL) that made a fabulous Chinese Vegetable Noodle soup in Ginger broth.

I also love the classic standbys- Chicken Noodle, Chicken with Rice, Cream Chicken, Tomato, Cream Tomato, Potato, Cream of Mushroom and Cream of Spinach, Mushroom Barley, Vegetable, etc... Really, to be honest, I could eat soup literally every meal of the day.

Our family growing up had a favorite that we still love today....Sausage Chowder.

My new favorite...just this year...Rooster and Dumplings....lol.

Matzo ball soup
Bean soup (beans, water, bay leaf and a half jar of dried beef, crock pot it all day)
Tortellini soup (homemade)
Egg drop soup
Wonton soup

Nice, thick potato soup with cheese in it......really thick vegetable and cheese soup....or the very best of all is seafood gumbo-no chicken or sausage, just seafood and veggies. Yum!

OK, where are the recipes for these!!!

I love potato soup and vegetable soup. Love a good chicken and noodle too. Not much on chili, but love to smell it cooking. Creamy broccoli is also a favorite, and would really like to try a pumpkin based soup. Anyone got a good recipe?
