    Hey guys!

We took a couple hens off our neighbors hands that were not adjusting well. They were definitely low on the pecking order, getting bossed and pretty beaten up. We are not sure what breed they may be and maybe someone could shed some light for us. Any help would be appreciated.

The photos aren't the best, and I can take more later. I was in a hurry this morning, just to get this posted.

    Thanks again!

Looks like a game hen, maybe with some Cubalaya in her.

Best off asking on the game bird thread in the breeds, showing, and genetics section. They could tell you what type of game they are.

What kind of combs do they have, and what color is their legs? I am suspecting Cubalaya as well.

This. There are so many types of game, I'm only good at saying "that's a game hen". If you want more specifics, ask those folks. They live for this stuff!

OH!! So they aren't "chickens" at all! WOW! I will post in the other thread. Thank you for responding! We will see if we can get to the bottom of it.

Quote:They are. "Game" is just a broad term for a type of chicken breed (used to be used for fighting, IE 'games'.)
