Yuma Coop ideas

Hi everyone!
We are new to Yuma, AZ and chickens. We want to have around 3-4 chickens but our back yard isn't huge.

It's so hot in the summer that we plan to put a window unit ac in the coop for summer.

We want a good coop to make them happy but all the amazon stuff is cheap and tiny. We can't do thousands for a dream coop now-even the sheds are crazy expensive.

We can wield a hammer but are not experts at it.
We will obtain or make a bigger one later on.
Suggestions?

A hoop coop wrapped in hardware cloth might work for you? And then consider if you want a solid structure inside or outside of it. Hope this helps.

That's a good idea! I've seen some online. We do want a solid structure too.

I'd definitely go with the open air type of design, and I like the idea of an a/c. Some people also use swamp coolers, but many (though not in yuma) get by with ice, puddles, fans etc.
