Feeding Wild Birds

Have you tried safflower seeds? I had European Starlings at my suet feeder chasing off all the other birds. I switched over to safflower seed and they vanished shortly thereafter, but most of the rest of the birds were perfectly happy with it.
When I switched from sunflower to safflower seeds the starlings and grackles emptied the feeder...on the ground. I think they were looking for the good stuff.

I don't see them anymore.

The cardinals, finches, and titmice love safflower seeds.

You’ve got cardinals eating yours? That was one species I haven’t seen eating it that I wish I could see, but mine’s a suet feeder, so that might make the difference. 🤔
