This is my new chicken coop that my husband and I built. This was the start of it and he made our boards from logs we had.I painted it with organic paint as we want to raise organic chickens and no sense in using stinky paint. The board under the roost has linoleum on it as the floor does too for easy cleaning.Picked it up at Lowes for 14.00 on clearance. We made chicken feeders from pvc pipe we had laying around. This coop is on a trailer for easy moving around. The water bucket is from Lowes for a couple bucks and I bought chicken nipples to insert to the bottom of bucket, now we have clean water for them. The two windows were giving to us from my father in law.My husband made the door and the chicken door on the back. The hens have 4 dish pans for 3.00 a piece, which I have material over them as they are not ready to use yet.I use pine shavings on the floor and I just flip the shavings every night. This coop is very easy to maintain as doing your homework first really pays off.My girls love it as so does my granddaughter Mackenzie.

My chickens are free range and they go in at night. The only thing I wish I did was add a outside opening to the nests but that could be added later if we want to.Total cost was just under 200.00 and the organic paint brought the price up as it was 75.00 for 2 gallons.
