Additional Information\"Fowl\" when applied to Code Chapter 17.52, specifically references a domesticated hen \"chicken\" that is used as food or for laying eggs but does not include any of the other various heavy-bodied largely ground-feeding domestic or game birds of the order Galliformes, such as a duck, goose, turkey, or pheasant, that is used for food or hunted as game. 17.09.130 Location of barns. No barn, corral, or coop (for the housing of animals, birds, or fowl) shall be constructed closer than one hundred feet from any existing dwelling or public street, nor shall any corral, barn, pen, or coop be constructed or maintained closer than twenty feet to any open waterway that drains into a natural stream. Surface drainage from corrals or barns or coops shall not be permitted to drain into a waterway that drains into a natural stream. (Prior code § 27-3-13) B. The A-2 agricultural zone is characterized by dwellings situated on large lots and tracts of land which are devoted to the growing of crops and the pasturing and care and keeping of animals and fowl. Caretaker or owner occupied dwellings situated on the large lots and tracts of land are also characteristic of this zone. In order to accomplish the objectives and purposes of this title and to stabilize and protect the essential characteristics of the zone, the following regulations shall apply in the A-2 agricultural zone. The following buildings, structures and uses of land shall be permitted in the A-2 agricultural zone upon compliance with requirements set forth in this title: A. Agriculture; B. The raising, care and keeping of animals and fowl in unlimited numbers, except for hogs in numbers exceeding twenty-five head; C. Barns, corrals, pens, coops and feed storage buildings for the keeping of animals and fowl and the storage of farm products (These are to sit one hundred fifty feet from the street.);
