Had my husband pick up an Easter egger and a rhode island red for mexample a couple days ago. The Red has booboos on its back, and the base of its tail feathers are bare. The Easter egger looks fine, so I'm thinking it's from being pecked at, but not sure. It does look slightly better in just the couple days we've had her.

You will be able to see the mites or lice. Just looked on the chest and between the shoulder. Have to look closely and fast because they scatter. Just put some seven dust on them in case it you really think it's a pest. I have some sand in a corner of the coop and always put seven dust on the sand so they can dust themselves.
