I have two females and one male king quail. It's spring now but aren't laying? They aren't tame so do you think that maybe they aren't laying because whenever I change their food and water or bedding it disturbs them so muck that they won't lay?

How old are they, what do you feed them, how many hours of light do they get a day and how big is their enclosure?

Heat has nothing to do with egg laying. They don't start laying in the spring because it's getting warmer. It's because the days get longer. They need 14-16 hours of light a day to lay.

A sudden extreme change in temperature up or down can cause stress leading to decreased egg production. But that would be the stress not the temperature that caused it.
