Hey all, i have a Buff Orpington, about 4yrs old, that has had a floppy, low-hanging wing for a week now. I read about Marek's but she has no other symptoms and does not appear to be paralyzed. She can move the wing and seems painful when i manipulate it. At what point should i give in and go to the vet 2hrs away? Or is there some further diagnostic exam i can do, or empiricall treatment? At a loss and feel completely helpless...

Its probably a wing injury. Is she eating and drinking?.It wouldn't be mareks if anything it would be Boutlism.

Thanks so much y'all! She is eating and drinking, just spending more time in the coop away from everyone. I'll try the wrap today...thanks again!

Yep,probably a wing injury. You can give her one baby aspirin pill (81mg) to take away pain if you feel bad.
