Do hens foraging habits change as they age?

I have a trio of young dorkings, around ten weeks old. They are free ranging in the garden and as an avid gardener I was concerned about them devouring and/or scratching up my plants but they are eminently civilized. They love being handfed dandelions, nestursiums and silverbeet but won't pull them out on their own.Mostly they just hang out on my garden chair, scratch around in the mulch and chase pigeons.

Nothing can be absolutely predictable. Your chickens may decide to go scratching in your garden for insects. In the process, they can destroy your plants. Please remember that it is not intentional. I chase my girls out of areas where they can do harm. They just move on somewhere else and continue their activity.
WISHING YOU BEST....
