Name that chick!

Hi,

I received my mystery chick today. Anyone know what breed it is? Any guesses on the sex? It has a nice chestnut colored head and white chipmunk stripes on its back, but the underside is a dusty gray and that's what's throwing me off. It's also a peanut compared to the others that arrived in my shipment, but I know McMurray isn't shipping bantams for another four weeks.

You nailed it! That's exactly what s/he is! I just looked at the McMurray website and that is it, 100%. Now...we wait for a few weeks to see what sex s/he turns out to be!

Hi,

Just to close the loop on this - Fred was a he, and what a Napoleon complex he had! He started crowing at three weeks! So I kept him but eventually my Alpha female Leghorn made minced-meat out of him one day when he got too big for his britches. He looked like he went six rounds with Mike Tyson when the Leghorn was done with him.
