Our hen was broody so we put some eggs to hatch. We have three beautiful baby chicks that are 2 weeks old now.
Mother hen saw another hen lay an egg today and went up in the nest and saw the egg. I got her out of there, but it's been 6-7 hours now and she still wants to go back there, regardless of her chicks. Once in the nest, she just scratches the ground, makes some rrr sound, but doesn't sit down, just stands there. If I get her out, she would come back or even go to another nest that's a box outside that we put for the other hens to use while the hen was with the baby chicks separated.
What should I do?
