Heat index over 100 today

So, the heat index is going to be over 100 today with high humidity. I froze a milk jug overnight to put in their coop, and I'm planning to wet down the ground in the run. What else can I do to help out the chicks? They're 5.5 weeks. My husband is picking up a misting system tonight, but that won't help today.

I usually put shade cloth over the run if it's not in the shade to create cooler places as well as wetting the ground.

I usually put shade cloth over the run if it's not in the shade to create cooler places as well as wetting the ground.

Their coop and half their run are under shade cloth.

But they still seem to get hot and hang out in their coop a lot.

Try frequently wetting the top of the coop too. Bit hard with high humidity though
