Hi

I am using a Brinsea Ecoglow and my 4 Orpington chicks who are three weeks old have stopped going under it, they are hanging out in the run which is in our outhouse and never seem to be under the heater, in fact they seem to sleep in a heap in the furthest corner... are they ready to go into their proper outdoor coop? Or is this too early? They are half feathered, half fluff still I would estimate.

Thanks

Not an answer, just empathy...
I just left a related post right before reading yours. From the moment I put my 6 Orps in their brooder they all partially huddle within a certain proximaty, furthest away from their heat source...my first thought was, man you orps really are cold hardy...then I double checked my thermometer, added two more and at this point, had to stop worrying about it as they seem healthy and chick happy, fingers crossed....
Hoping we both have the same 'problem'! LOL!
