Male or female?

This is Solo at 6 months. Not sure of breed or gender. When feathers first came in, the head and tail feathers were black and mid-section red. At first I thought that it was a Pullet but when it mounted my Silkie hen. It has a weird small, ruffle-like pink comb. I was thinking a RIR and BA mix. Has greenish black legs.

Sorry 1st one is now, 2nd is at 5 months. Color changed now. I'm thinking female because it has small comb and no wattle. But why did it grab my hen and sit on her back as if mating like my other Roos do? Here's pic of body and legs

Thank you! At first, I was hoping it was female because one of my favorites. He would swoop in grab food or snatch from other chickens then run off alone. Call him my little gangster!

Yea it's a boy. His comb looks like that because it's a different kind called pea comb. It's naturally smaller than the usual kind of comb. If it were a female, that comb would have been much smaller and looking like no comb at all until laying age.
