Please help, putting day olds under broody.

Can you put day old chicks under a hen which has been broody for 10 days? Has anyone done this, what results have you had?

I don't want the eggs shes sat on to develop any more or hatch out as i don't want any boys! I did put a post in before, but haven't had any replies.

10 days is a bit short but can work.
I put them under the hen at night when they're sitting tight. I then check back about 20 minutes later to make sure any haven't wandered off.
