In the Brooder
About three weeks ago I bought 8 1 week old keets and put them in a good size brooder but now unless I keep some chicken wire over the top they are jumping out and pooping all over my kitchen. I have a coop with a temporary run built that is ready to use and I'm wondering at a month old if I can put them outside in the coop/run without a heat lamp. It's around 70 degrees during the day where I live and in the low 40s at night. I don't currently have the heat lamp on them now inside my house and they're doing fine but I'm worried that since it gets somewhat cold at night they'd freeze. Can I put them outside so they can have more room to move?
