OK- this is not chicken related.... but we use all natural peanut butter. So, the oil settles on the top when you get it from the store. Whenever I try mixing it (fork or knife) I ALWAYS get the oil over the edge of the jar and make a mess. Is there any hope for mixing peanut butter without making a huge oily mess? Help.... clueless on mixing cleanly.

I have the same problem!

I have seen a gadget for sale online, it's a replacement top/lid for the jar with a handle on top and a "mixing wire" down it the peanut butter. Supposedly, you just crank the handle and it mixes the PB. Haven't tried it. Yet. I believe some are new and some are actual vintage ones. Check ebay and etsy.com.

Maybe after you mix it once, you can place the jar of PB in the fridge so you don't have to worry about mixing each time.

Oh it definitely goes in the fridge after the first time.. it's just mixing that firs time that always puts me "over the edge"!

YIKES!!! I found a new one on ebay- and THEY WANT $17.88 FOR IT!!! At that price, it'd better be gold plated.

I have the same problem. Also, I don't seem to be able to get enough of the oil down to the bottom of the jar so when I reach the last 1/3 of the peanut butter it is always very dry since all the oil is long gone by then.
