So I bought 12 started pullets and one golden buff rooster. I am starting to think two of the leghorn "pullets" are roos.

These few are definetly pullets...just putting them up here for comparison.

#1. Pullet or Roo...all the leghorns are relatively the same size

#2. Pullet or Roo...out of the six leghorns these are the only two that I am worried about.

Lets just hope this Golden Buff is the only rooster in the coop

I know nothing about the leghorn breed, but I would be "concerned" as well. Hopefully some leghorn people will clear it all up for you. Best of luck! Hope they are just early maturing pullets!

How old are they supposed to be? Leghorns are one of those breeds who get big combs and early, so it may depend on the age. My two 3 month old white leghorn pullets look just like your "definite pullets".

Yes, I think Leghorn cockerels of that age would have some pretty significant combs/wattles......

Now if you had said 8 weeks, that might a different story....

1 and 2 are Pullets.

Mine when he was a lot younger.

See how the back of the comb raises in males? It's happens pretty early in Leghorns.
