Nigel, one of my big kitties frequently brings me treasures...usually the lower end of mice and occasional birds, including quail. I've even taken away a rabbit from him, once.

We got home last night from a week-long Montana/Wyoming vacation and found this on the front porch.

I'm thinking Pine Marten?
 
Yeah, I know it's in that family...my in-laws have lived here since 1987 and never seen one of these....I've been googling weasels and martens, trying to find a name for this thing....I just hope there are no more where this one came from!!!
 
Some type of a ferret, I was thinking Black footed ferret but I noticed the feet are not Black.
