A few months ago I hatched out a chick that was fathered my my black copper marans and the mother was the EE hen. I eagerly awaited her first egg and today she gave it so me! It was a beautiful olive green with darker speckles. I am anxious to see if they get even darker over the next couple weeks.

I just hatched an egg from an Amercauna (sp?) roo and wheaten maran hen.....I'm hoping it's a pullet, but I already have my doubts!

OK, I finally got a couple quick pics. Here is one of a group, starting with the marans egg and going clockwise: marans, polish, olive egger, buff orp X, EE (actually more blue than the pic shows)
