Hello everyone but especially moderators - I'd be very interested to see a forum on Gardening with Poultry - to discuss using poultry for fertilizer, bug control, weed control, cover crops & poultry, composting, when to keep the chickens out of the garden, etc.
I have chickens now; they were pretty good with the established garden. Stlll, they ate too much of my kale and not enough of my slugs. Now I'm thinking about whether I want to get a duck for my slugs. In the meantime, I'm wanting to add fertilizer to my garden and I am wondering if I really have to keep the chickens off it for a year if I put chicken poo on it, and how much chicken poop to use, etc. I'd like go get a Guinea but maybe they make too much noise. All of these things seem like good topics for a section on Gardening with Poultry.
