For all the work of raising these guineas over 3 months I would caution you they are NOT SMART.
I did every good thing I read about for them.
they were cooped for 2 months and a half.
they were given plenty of millet seed to make them come home to roost.
when they wouldn't come back into the coop I even put a small flashlight inside as I had read.
Guineas are not very bright.
They ran all over at dusk.
I netted 2 back into the coop.
When I tried to catch more, they ran under the barbed wire fence out into the pasture.
Around 10 pm the coyotes made dinner out of five!
