Rita is a very affectionate bird. Very strange, as she literally walked up out of the woods back in November, and decided to live here. He immediately befriended Debbie and I, sits in our laps, follows us around the yard like a puppy, and likes to be near us when we're outside. We've put in a coup and run for her (which she took to right away), and seems to be generally happy. We've learned a lot about her in the last few months, and constantly surprises us with how smart she really is.
In this photos, i was digging up an old gas line in a natural area in the back yard, and she jumped right in to help with the digging ;-)
