I built this coup for my RIR's the birds are to big to roost comfortably. I had to pull one of the lower roof portions off and make it as high as the top roof to allow more roosting space. once I did this they go to bed by them selves of course it's not pretty anymore. I may actually sell this...

one of my 12 RIR's started today! they are 4 months old.

For those of us in MA do you insulate your hen houses?

here is one of my girls. they are just turning 4 months. no eggs yet!

new to the site. had chickens as a kid. now my kids wanted them so I built a coup and found 14 RIR. they are almost 4 months so I'm hoping for more eggs than I know what to do with and so does my extended family!
