    thank you.. i sell prints and even made pendant necklaces with my avatar image in my Etsy shop. That painting I also did for this same contest and the theme that month was time.. so I did a chick looking at his future self.. Titled "When I grow up" :)

    I do a once a month art contest on eBay called Nibblefest Art Contest.. Anyway.. the theme this month is , Time , so i painted a baby chick looking at himself in the mirror with his future rooster self in a coop setting. All entries start at 99cents with no reserve ending on the 27th each...

    Also.. if on antibiotics.. and they are all drinking it should i be throwing out the eggs for 2 weeks?

    THANK you!!!!!!! The feed store told me about a tbsp to a gallon of water and it only lasts 24hrs.. i'm doing that since this could be spreading and I want it stopped! our high today is only 79 so we should be good temperature wise. :)

    Last week we noticed our rooster was acting sick. Lethargic, not eating and slumping down. I removed him, gave him antibiotics in his water with electrolytes for 2 days or so and he's all better now. Moved him back to the flock and noticed this morning my bantam frizzle is acting similar...

    yikes i hope this works out. When I first asked one of my friends that works for a chicken place she said move him with her so they are in a pair. That would be best for hatching his eggs as I'd like the maran hen to go with him b/c one day i'd LOVE to hatch some maran chicks! I do have 2...

    I have 2 coops.. My main coop has 9 hens.. In my smaller coop I have chicks that I got this fall. (3 bantam hens, 1 EE hen and 1 BCM hen and a BCM rooster).. I think the rooster needs to move to my other coop so he has more hens to mate with as I'm worried about him with the bantams. I...

    introducing new day old chicks to 6 day old chicks..

    my biggest 6 day chick, Chirpy seems to be more sulking than anything... I don't see any pecking on .. and the new chicks all seem really active and helping and chirping a lot! they've been together now a whole 3 hrs.. I'm obsessively checking on them!

    They are so flippin adorable!!! I'll go take pics in a bit.. I had a hatch that I lost 2 chicks last week.. so now I have my 2 Black Copper marans that are the 6 days old (2 chicks weren't enough so I quickly ordered these little guys ).. In this order I got.. 2 Mille Fleur D'uccle Bantams...

    my 6 day old chicks are both Black copper marans.. my biggest BCM, Chirpy, almost seems to be sulking... is that possible? my other seems to already be snuggling with the new guys.. so since I didn't separate.. i just wonder if I should just let it be and watch.. OR figure out how to separate...
