Hi,
I need help identifying these birds. I got them from an amish man in southern WI. When I had someone come here to buy call ducks he looks at them and says "Oh, you have Amish bantams". LOL! Well, no such breed as that. However, last month I went to an amish auction in northern WI and...
We have 9 call ducklings about a week old and ready for their new homes. Some are pied and some are dilutes. $15 ea or may possibly trade a couple for a call hen. Sorry, we don't ship. We are located about 1/2 hr northeast of Madison, WI. Thanks!
I would try the 3wk olds with the teenagers. My adult drakes are very aggressive to "newcomers" so I only put them in with the adults when they are pretty much adult size. Good Luck! I am running out of space too!

Yes, baby calls being really makes the day! they are just so hard to incubate!!! Then my last nest of 10 eggs, with mom laying on them, never hatched. I think it was from all that extreme heat we had this summer.
My silver apricot hen and nutmeg drake calls just hatched out 6 babies. 5 look like mom and one like dad. I am so happy! they are adorable! Will post pics IF mom will let me get some LOL!

Hi, first I apologize to everyone for posting them for sale here. I didn't realize there was a different section for that! I am new to BYC so am not sure how to post pictures or I would.
We have 8-10 crested cayuga ducklings hatched out today by their mom. All will be available for sale for $6 ea. We are located in WI about 1/2 hr northeast of Madison. Sorry, but we do not ship. Can send pics upon request!
We just had a bunch of crested cayuga ducklings hatch out! They are soooo cute! If anyone is interested, please let me know. We are in Columbus, WI. Thanks!
We got our first calls a year ago. From what other people told me many times they are 15 months old before they breed and lay eggs. Mine are breeding but the hatching in the incubator was very poor. Out of 25 eggs, only 4 hatched! Now with the mom's gone broody, they are hatching out fine on...
Ok, not sure what happened to my other post as it isn't there now? I have an "odd couple" here. They were incubated and born on the same day. We had one call duck and some rouen crosses all hatch out. So...now we have this single call duck and it's rouen/cross friend together. They are the...
AWW! Thanks for posting the picture! I am new to this forum...how did you attach the pic? They duckies look beautiful together! I am so glad they found a nice home with you. Karen
