My RIR was being a bully, so i isolated her last night, i was planning to do so for a couple days. Today in a 12 hr period while i was at work, she layed a regular egg and a shell less egg. Is this something i should be concerned about. It is the first time i know of her laying more than 1 a day.

I raised my 3 RIR hens and they are super friendly and social. I just got a new rooster and hen. They are about 7 months old and Very scared and unsociable. Any tips on how to make them friendly?

Mine too. And every time my grandpa talks to me he says "got eggs yet, ya aint gonna without a roo" THEY ARE ONLY 10 WEEKS OLD..

I wanted to doit with my girls but everything I read said it was too dangerous so I built a run around their coop with a wire top. I felt bad about not letting them roam until yesterday when I was mowing along the fence line and seen 1 of my neighbors chickens dead half eaten in their pasture...

These are too funny :) So fare the only thing that has surprised me is how many older people who claim to know a lot about chickens insist I have to have a rooster.
