Hello,
I am by no means an expert but I'll share what I've learned with my Muscovy's.
My Muscovy's are in a 10X6 pen, I left them locked up in there for a few weeks while we built their outside pen. Once they were allowed outside they would always return to their pen at nightfall.
I find they...
So my chicks started hatching yesterday on day 21.
One has fully hatched but there is one that pipped almost 24 hours ago and is still not out.
Should I help it out or leave it? It's had the hole with its beak out for awhile and I'm worried that it's drying out inside the shell
Hello everyone
So I posted here awhile back about how to best transport fertile eggs during our 900 mile move to northern Ontario
Well we did it. I didn't end up getting the incubator set up until day 12 after they were layed but I did get them in there.
We had a few bumps with temperature as...
Actually that cuts down on a lot of stress.
You think they'd still be viable to incubate after all of that time?
Should I still turn them?
How would I store them? Egg cartons?
Temperatures for storing until incubation?
That's good to hear.
We'll probably be separating them come spring but if I can get away with housing them with the chickens until then it'll cut out a lot of work!
