I was told when I bought the mature birds, they are jumbo corturnix. I had a bad hatch, these 4 are the only survivors. Is it common to have an off colored bird or possible albino? Or maybe a mix breed?

What type of rooster would you use for Red star hens? I can get a RIR from my sister. I'd probably only hatch one batch.

Thanks guys! I haven't got any yet. I'm supposed to be picking up some tomorrow. They are 16 month old Red Stars. I'm guessing they're older than that and are commercial culls. But thats ok with me, have to start somewhere.
