I live in Central Florida. On my 6.5 acres, I have multiple hawks, foxes, panthers and I have even heard we have a bear. I could deal with the noise part of it. I am not sure that I am up to chasing them all of the time. :D

LOL!! Oh dear. I am considering getting them as alarms for my flock of chickens. Not too sure about it now.

Dang it! I did end up going, but forgot to check back here. I ended up getting 7 babies that day. They are all grown up now! We are building a new coop in the next couple of months. I can wait!

He was an only chicken for a couple of days. He got super attached to me. Now that I have another, he is acting more like a chicken. I will bring him on the porch every chance I get for snuggles though.

Yes! He actually rolls over to the side so I can rub his belly. He is confused. I keep trying to tell him that his is a chicken!

Thank goodness! I have been wondering the same thing. I live in Florida and those buggers try to carry me away when I am outside.

Do you free range yours? I am trying to figure out which breeds are going to work best for my yard. I have 6.5 acres and a large coop that they will be housed in at night. I know I should probably go with larger birds. Any suggestions?
