    Pencillian and baby chicks

I'm wondering since all her puppies are now gone to homes if she wasn't trying to move chicks to her puppy spot. She could have easily killed it but was just carrying it. That did enough damage.

    Pencillian and baby chicks

Thanks this is helpful. I didn't use Pencillian and today chick seems fine. Looks like everyone will make it. My dog is a Great Pyranees she's guarded the chickens, ducks, and other dogs from other predators but baby chicks cause her to react differently I'm noticing.

My lil duck died of her wounds 6 days later. I'm using her as bait now for a foot trap, poor thing but fitting justice of it works. I just brought home a seasoned Great Pyranees who is still adjusting so birds stay in coop till I'm home. I believe foxes leave their dens in the fall and are more...

    Late Afternoon Predator

Sounds like it could be a fox or coyote since theirs little sign left. I'm currently battling foxes who take my ducks in evening from edge of pond. I'm in La. Hope it's not a fox because their tricky to get rid of. Their smart and when ones gone another takes its place. I shot one but two days...

Will a dog help deter a fox attack? What type?

I've been battling foxes. I have a boarder collie whose good with chicks but is somewhat disabled so no help as a predator deterrent. I'm looking at a Great Pyraneese this weekend whose grown up guarding flocks and goats. GPs unlike BCs like to be out alone guarding constantly and even though...
