    Hens or Roos

The Marans and the Rhode Islands were in straight run pullet bins. Only the Leghorn was unsexed. But it seems that I only got one girl and I can only keep two roosters in my neighborhood so Ill probably have to re-home.

    Hens or Roos

So this is my first group of chickens. Bought them all at tractor supply and they were all supposed to be sexed but now that they're almost 7 weeks, I don't think they're all girls. The first is a Leghorn, the two dark ones are Black Copper Marans and the brown ones are Rhode Island Reds. Thoughts?

    Injured 3week old chicken

Yeah I think it's definitely a pecking wound. They're still in the brooder and there's nothing in there that she could have gotten snagged on. I'll definitely look into your treatment recommendation. Thanks!

    Possible Impacted Crop????

Yeah, it's probably halfway down the neck. A little squishy but firm. Do you know any measurements for the oil/apple cider vinegar? They have grit already

    Possible Impacted Crop????

I think it is but shouldn't it empty? It's staying pretty full. But they all still have energy and are hungry. So I'm not sure if it's a big deal

    Possible Impacted Crop????

First time chicken mom. So I have 5 chicks. All roughly a week old. They're all energetic, eating and drinking. They have access to food, water and grit. But I've noticed that on a few of them, there seems to be a semi hard ball on their necks. Pretty small especially in comparison to some of...

    Hi there!

So far, my Reds are the most energetic of the bunch! I'm really excited to see how they grow

    Hi there!

Good advice on elevating the feeder, they get so much crud in there lol. The brooder is 95 under the heat source and progressively gets slightly cooler as they get further away. I believe my one little girl just likes talking. Her vent temperature is perfect. And she usually gets quiet once I...
