so this morning that little skin tag piece has fallen off. She’s no longer limping. She is eating drinking free ranged for an hour and is back in the yard acting totally normal. I have not started the treatment process yet.
I have an anxious personality and I just worry I’m going to make a bigger problem and then leave the state.
Of course I’m going to worry either way the whole trip whether I begin this process now or wait 😞
I have a dear friend willing to help but I don’t want to put this on someone else for 9 days. If I were to have her to do it I don’t want her to have to be doing something daily if at all possible so I’m trying to determine what is best for my chicken and also what amount of responsibility feels...
Posting again to bump this up-I need advice from someone with bumblefoot experience as this is my first incidence in 15 years of having chickens. Is this an emergency that needs to be dealt with today and throughout my time away or would it be possible to wait until my return? If i should...
Well my mother is doing the morning letting out/feeding/watering and locking up at night and a teen boy is coming midday for cleaning. Neither are ideal for this job and I don’t know anyone who is. 😭
What will the daily care be? Should she be in a crate separated or can she stay with the flock...
Noticed my chicken with a slight limp this evening before going in to roost. Acting fine otherwise. Just got her off the roost because I couldn’t catch her earlier and these are pics of her feet. She seems to be favoring the right-they both have these rough black spots but the right has what...
I can treat today or tomorrow but 10 days from either of those I will not be here. Would it be best to treat tomorrow and day 12 or wait until Tuesday and be able to retreat at day 10?
All my chickens seem healthy (minus ridiculous pecking order/behavior issues). I found one roundworm in a...
I have no advice as I too have a feather picking/bullying issue in my flock and my Dorothy looks the absolute worst! I have 7 as well and they have plenty of room, get to free range part of most days, ample co-op, more than enough nesting boxes, good food, don’t have to fight for resources...
Aaaaamd today she’s walking normally. This just keeps happening???? Limpy a few days then fine fine for a few weeks, then limpy a few days-just on repeat???
