    What are you canning now?

    QUESTION I canned my end of season green beans and when I pulled them out of the canner they had turned brown. The water is brown the bean pods are brown and the seeds are brown. What the heck happened? Can I still eat these? All of the jars sealed but I'm just not sure what went wrong.

    They are dangerous around here too. We were told they can kill ground up to 5 years so you don't want to add the hulls to compost or put them in your garden. But on the other hand walnuts are expensive and can go for up to $10 a pound. How the heck do you can nuts?
